This vintage piece measures 2" x 1 1/2" and was loved by someone named "Doris Brown" from 1937.  Doris painted her name on the back of this plastic (celluloid) brooch.  The pinstem is stamped "Made in Japan".  Doris also added a little gold color to the front of this deep burgundy (deeper red than the picture shows) brooch.  Very ornate and in very good condition for a 70+ year old!
