I don't know what inspired the person who "built" this necklace, but if you like funky, this one is definitely that!  It looks like someone cut a bakelite bracelet in two, took another piece of red bakelite from something else and then put them all together to make this necklace.  The necklace measures 21" from end to end, but the center section  (from brown bead to brown bead) measures 7 1/2" wide and to the tip of the red piece is 6" long.  Not for the faint of heart!  You'll notice on the red piece, there are holes on the sides; I imagine this is from whatever the piece was taken from.  This is bakelite gone wild :)
