Rare and unique 1920s Egyptian Revival drawstring box purse featuring a white crushed velvet top and a white leather bottom. The leather is embossed in gold with a repeating pattern of 3 Egyptian (female) figures all the way around. Overall size is about 6-1/2" x 4" x 7" high, with the leather band being approximately 2-1/4" wide. The gold braid trim was added by a shoemaker to cover some rather unsightly old glue. There is some very minor soiling on the fabric, however, I would rate the overall vintage condition as very good, and very wearable!
