Absolutely gorgeous beaded bag with multi-colored glass seed beads in an elablorate pattern of cascading roses, spiral ribboned columns and what looks like a giant butterfly to me. The pattern repeats on the back. Green silk lining with a small pocket that needs a couple of stitches at the top. The frame is aged silver, marked Germany, and does show some signs of wear (mostly inside the frame). There are a three or four small spots where a few beads are missing -- but they are barely noticeable. I believe there may be a couple of fringe strands missing as well, but no major gaps or cause for concern. Dimensions: 7-1/2" long, not including 2-1/2" fringe ... 7" wide ... and a 17" fine silver chain handle. The outside of the frame has a heavy patina which I have left intact. I recently spotted a slightly larger version of this purse on a high-profile website for $950!
