I wish I could find out the history behind this ring; it is engraved on the inside:  "C. MacKay" and the front is either LPH or CPH with a cross and the number 49.  If anyone can provide me with information, I would appreciate it...as I am a sentimental fool; I'd rather track down the original owner (or their family) than sell it.  :)  Other than the engraving, there are no marks so I'm not sure of the metal content.  It is a size 7 1/2" and is in very good condition.
