This ring is marked on the inside; however, I am unable to read it.  I am assuming that this ring is silver and the cabochon is amethyst, but I am not a gemologist so please - if you have any questions about it at all, please ask. 

It is size 7 1/2 and it is 1/2" wide on the front.  The cabochon is a beautiful color of purple.  Upon close inspection, you can see the striations in the stone.  It is bezel set in a silver or silver-tone metal.  Very good condition.
