This gorgeous set is a deep ruby red and the brooch is a dome shape 'starfish' that measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/4".  It sits up 1" high!  The backing is japanned and it is an incredible piece.  I wish I could capture the true color.  The earrings are 1" clip-ons and all three pieces are in excellent condition.  Very collectible!
